Businesses succeed when determined people work together as a team to pursue a shared vision. Curiosity, clarity and candor are the cornerstones of this victory. Every team member must question the methods, understand their roles and, most importantly, be aware of the ultimate goal. Still, there needs to be someone who ties the team, its goals, and the plan-of-action together; this someone is the leader.
On the surface, this task seems straightforward, but a leader understands the complexity that comes with it. To begin with, a leader must understand the team members well. This requires knowing how each member can contribute (their skill and potential), their suitability to the role, and how innovative they can be. Once this is in order, the evolution from being merely a decent leader to a transformational one begins.
The journey of Galit Ventura-Rozen, the Founder of Commercial Professionals, is an indication of the same. A transformational leader herself, Galit believes in having an indelible impact on those around her. However, she feels that it is impossible to make any real impact without knowing the unique abilities of the team members.
Over the past two and a half decades, Galit Ventura-Rozen has built her team focusing on their respective strengths. She has filled the strength gap by finding members who complement each other and negate each other’s weaknesses. The result? A thriving business.
Her dictum is to lead by example. To do so effectively, she makes sure that she is always visible and approachable. She wants to be there for those who seek guidance from her and are in need of motivation to do better.
How It Started
Galit’s friends started job-hunting right after completing their business degrees. It was, after all, considered the ‘obvious’ next step as most students want to pay off their education loans as soon as possible and gain stability in their lives.
But that was not the case with Galit. She wasn’t keen on taking the conventional path, and this sentiment went on to shape the success of Commercial Professionals.
Galit lived in a city where, each month, more than 6000 people came into the city to realize their dreams. She gathered that these people need a place to live and as its consequence, real estate could become a booming sector. Galit saw the economic potential of this predicament.
Realizing the growth opportunity, Galit stepped into the field of commercial real estate. Soon, she understood that this business is her calling and spent around two years understanding how the industry works.
Galit’s journey
Like most successful entrepreneurs, Galit Ventura-Rozen, too, had her share of ups and downs, one which was both rewarding and exciting. From being a fresh college graduate 25 years ago to selling multi-million-dollar investment properties, she has come a long way.
During her career, Galit learned a lot and realized the importance of her mission. She shares, “My mission is to change the way women look at success and help them gain success through their mindset and professional tools and methods. Knowing that only 4.2% of women-owned businesses are making one million [dollars] or more gives me purpose.”
Her experience has encouraged her to write books, become a renowned speaker and work with other ambitious women as a Sales Success Expert. In her bid to make the world a better place for female entrepreneurs, she now teaches women how to earn a 7-figure-income in their business/profession through sales success.
When it comes to her mission, she is constant in her approaches and is focused on changing the landscape to help women find success. Moreover, leveraging her years of experience and knowledge, Galit mentors young and aspiring women leaders on how to get into commercial real estate through her coaching.
Talking about looking back and changing her past, Galit quickly points out that she would not change a single thing. Her failures and successes taught her well about how things work. To budding entrepreneurs, she recommends, “Surround yourself with people who will cheer you on, support every crazy business idea and a team that will see the passion in what you want to accomplish. Realizing that doing it all by myself is only going to get me so far was key to my success.”
Moreover, she practices what she preaches and surrounds herself with people who comprehend her ideas and support her passion. She vouches that this has always led her to profitable ways.
“You will never know everything and there are people out there that know the things you don’t.” That is why Galit believes that constant investment to ensure growth through education, mentors, programs and more is a necessary step. This belief has inspired her to go back to her university and complete her master’s degree at the age of 38.
How is Commercial Professionals different?
Galit and her company rely on more customer-centric approaches. Before starting the plans’ actual execution, they try to gauge their client’s goals and what they want to accomplish by working with Galit. She notes, “We work with them on off-market properties and do our best to bring the seller the right buyer or the buyer the right property in order to accomplish as much of what they want to accomplish as possible.”
This approach has helped the company to stand out and fetch better recognition. In reality, it has helped Galit and her team withstand the blows of the COVID-19 as well. For 8 weeks at a stretch, her business was down. She witnessed slumps and backing out of investors. But once things started getting back to normal, she retraced her steps and turned her business around.
Her take on leadership and entrepreneurship
When it comes to navigating careers, Galit Ventura-Rozen has some predefined steps that would help any budding entrepreneur. At the outset, find something you love and want to start a business around. But, loving what one does is not enough.
The next step: strategize. Set up a business plan, long-term and short-term goals, a marketing plan, a team, and take action every day to achieve success, she explains.
Most recently, upon being congratulated for being one of the Top 100 Real Estate Agents and making the cover, she recalled the hard work she has had to put in for the last 25 years. “It took a lot of dedication, hard work, and focus. Recognize that things don’t happen overnight but when you focus, surround yourself with the right mentors, do the work it can and it will!”
Galit, being a business leader, wants to make the million-dollar milestone accessible to women in business. She wants to see more and more businesswomen shatter the glass ceiling every day. Her mission is to help them tap unlimited possibilities and financial freedom that await women in business. Her personal goal is to become the top motivational business speaker and inspire other women to climb the ladder of success.
