In the heart of Uganda, Brother Christopher Lubwama has dedicated his life to creating meaningful change. As the Founder and Director of Jireh’s Love Charity Organization, Christopher leads with deep compassion, lived experience, and a vision rooted in faith. What began as a small effort to care for orphaned children has since grown into a mission that touches the lives of hundreds; restoring hope to those most overlooked and building pathways toward self-reliance and dignity.

Born and raised amidst the beauty and hardship of Uganda, Christopher’s journey is deeply personal. As a child, he knew the sting of hunger and the weight of loss, having lost his parents at a young age. Raised by extended family and uplifted by the faith of his church community, he began to dream of a different kind of future, one where no child felt invisible and no widow faced the night alone. That dream would eventually become Jireh’s Love Charity Organization.

A Mission Rooted in Compassion

Founded in 2015, Jireh’s Love began with just a handful of children, some food, and the boundless faith of a young man determined to make a difference. What started as a modest outreach has grown into a vibrant mission serving hundreds of orphans, widows, and struggling families across rural Uganda.

“Our mission is rooted in James 1:27,” Christopher explains. “To look after orphans and widows in their distress. That is what we are called to do.”

Through a network of churches, village elders, and community leaders, Jireh’s Love identifies the most vulnerable: children orphaned by disease, widows with no source of income, and young people at risk of exploitation. For Christopher, each life they touch is sacred. “They are not statistics. They are children of God. Each one with a name, a story, and a future worth fighting for.”

Programs that Restore Dignity

At the heart of Jireh’s Love Charity Organization are simple but life-changing programs. Daily feeding initiatives ensure children receive at least one nutritious meal a day. Education support helps keep kids in school by covering fees, uniforms, and supplies. Discipleship programs offer spiritual nourishment, encouraging children to grow in faith, character, and hope.

“We are not just feeding stomachs,” Christopher says. “We are feeding dreams.”

One of the most ambitious and transformative initiatives on the horizon is the Chicken Farm Project, a sustainable solution to recurring financial challenges. “This project is more than poultry. It is about breaking the cycle of dependency,” Christopher explains. The farm will provide food for the children, generate income through egg and meat sales, and offer employment and training for caregivers and youth.

“It is my dream that this farm becomes a living testimony,” he adds. “Proof that when communities work together, orphans and widows can find dignity through self-reliance.”

Challenges on the Journey

Like many grassroots organizations, Jireh’s Love faces daily challenges. “Sometimes, the need feels overwhelming,” Christopher admits. “We want to help everyone, but our resources are limited.”

Consistent funding is a constant concern. School fees, medical emergencies, and basic supplies can quickly drain their small budget. “There are days when we have to stretch one meal to feed many,” he says.

Launching the Chicken Farm Project is a crucial step toward long-term sustainability. But it requires upfront investment: land, proper housing for the poultry, feed, veterinary care, and trained staff. Without outside support, this vision risks stalling before it can take off.

“There is no quick fix to poverty,” Christopher acknowledges. “It is complex and generational. But we believe that with faith and action, we can create real change.”

A Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, Christopher’s vision is bold and expansive. In the next 5 to 10 years, he hopes to see Jireh’s Love become a self-sustaining organization. The Chicken Farm Project will be the foundation, but plans are already in motion to expand into vegetable gardens, fishponds, and possibly even small-scale dairy farming.

There are dreams of building a permanent children’s home; a place of warmth, belonging, and family. Plans are also underway to establish a Christian school to provide quality education not only to the children they serve but also to others in the surrounding communities. And a small medical clinic could save lives by addressing preventable illnesses that often go untreated due to lack of access.

“This is not just about charity,” Christopher emphasizes. “It is about empowerment. We want to raise a generation of teachers, doctors, and leaders who come from these very villages and go back to uplift them.”

A Message of Hope

For those who feel forgotten or broken by life’s hardships, Christopher has a message that comes from the heart: “You are not invisible. God sees you. Your life matters. Your dreams matter.”

And for those with the means to help, he extends a heartfelt invitation. “You can be the answer to someone’s prayer. Every dollar, every prayer, every act of kindness is a seed that will bear fruit in a child’s life.”

He hopes the Chicken Farm Project will not just feed mouths but inspire hearts. “Let this farm be a symbol of what happens when love moves into action. Together, we can bring hope to the hopeless and light to the darkest places.”

An Invitation to Give

As Christopher continues his mission, he calls on donors, churches, businesses, and individuals around the world to stand with him. The Chicken Farm Project is the key to unlocking long-term impact, but it needs generous hands to build.

“Every gift is an investment in a child’s smile, a mother’s peace, a community’s future,” he says.
