As President of Zipcar, the world’s leading car-sharing network, Angelo oversees all facets of the business, driving forward a mission to simplify urban living through sustainable, shared transportation. His leadership is transforming Zipcar into a future-ready mobility platform, one that’s digital, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of urban, university and business communities.

A Career Forged in Service and Strategy

Angelo’s journey began in the United States Army, where he served as a Signal Corps Officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, leading over 120 paratroopers through Operation Iraqi Freedom. His time in the military instilled a commitment to excellence and resilience, values that would later define his approach to executive leadership.

Transitioning to corporate life, Angelo spent over a decade at Otis Elevator Co., eventually leading a $300M business unit and 600+ employees. He steered OTIS through key digital transformation efforts, M&A integrations, and operational overhauls, winning the OTIS North America President’s Award and delivering record-breaking profits and sales growth.

Driving Transformation at Zipcar

Since joining Zipcar, Angelo has focused on streamlining operations, modernizing the member experience, and reestablishing Zipcar’s leadership in the competitive mobility space. Under his leadership, the company reached its highest EBITDA and margin performance in seven years, while implementing major upgrades like Bluetooth-based vehicle access, instant member onboarding, membership rewards and a partnership with Uber.

His executive playbook blends process improvement with authentic, purpose-driven leadership. Angelo believes in inspiring teams through shared vision and clear accountability; a style shaped by both combat leadership and years of Fortune 500 experience.

Beyond the Office

Angelo holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, where he served as Co-Chair of the Alfred L. Edwards Conference and VP of the Ross Armed Forces Association.

He’s a real estate investor, Military Academy Liaison Officer, and former contestant on Oprah’s Big Give. Most importantly, he’s a husband, father of two, and a leader driven by impact over accolades.
