Aashi Bagga: Building Flying Femme with Grit, Grace, and Genuineness

Flying Femme

At just 21, Aashi Bagga turned a lack of mentorship in her own modeling journey into the driving force behind one of India’s most distinct grooming platforms — Flying Femme. Her rise as a supermodel, actor, and singer was not just a personal triumph but the foundation for a new kind of agency: one that values inclusion over perfection, mentorship over money, and confidence over conformity.

Flying Femme isn’t built on the glitz of traditional pageantry; it’s shaped by real stories, real struggle, and a belief that success begins with self-awareness. Alongside her co-founder Rudra, Aashi has nurtured a community that challenges industry norms and redefines what it means to win.

In this exclusive interview, Aashi reflects on the early grind, her values as a mentor, and the mission behind Flying Femme’s growing legacy.

What year did you officially found Flying Femme, and what were the very first steps?

Flying Femme was officially founded in 2022. The very first step was self-belief; there was no huge investment or grand setup. We started with a very small arrangement from Noida, driven purely by passion and purpose.

From the beginning, our focus was never limited to ramp walk training. Flying Femme was built around overall personality development, one-on-one guidance, and genuine mentorship.

When it comes to building the team, I truly believe we are the team. Flying Femme started with me and Rudra. He has been my strongest pillar; loyal, consistent, and standing beside me since my struggling days. I give him full credit for being my backbone and my wholesome team.

As a young entrepreneur in a competitive fashion space, what were the biggest hurdles in the early days?

The biggest challenge was standing out in an industry already dominated by well-known and established agencies. Credibility doesn’t come overnight, especially when you’re young and starting with limited resources.

In the initial phase, funding was a major hurdle, which is why we started the agency from home. What helped us survive and grow was passion, dedication, honesty, and relentless hard work.

I stayed true to my values and my agency and that genuineness eventually helped Flying Femme create its own identity in a saturated market.

How did your experience as a supermodel shape Flying Femme?

My personal journey as a supermodel shaped Flying Femme deeply. I never received the right guidance in my early career. I was often misguided, lacked proper mentorship, and saw how many agencies focused only on money rather than student growth.

That experience hit me hard and it became my biggest motivation.

At Flying Femme, I carry one core principle every day: right mentorship and honest guidance. We don’t sell dreams; we shape them. That is what truly makes Flying Femme stand apart in the industry.

Flying Femme emphasizes inclusivity and body positivity — what inspired that mission?

I strongly believe that dreams are for everyone, and dreams are not defined by body type. Success begins with belief and courage, not measurements.

Our mission comes from the understanding that success doesn’t only mean winning a crown or becoming a model. Success can also mean being confident, well-groomed, self-aware, and prepared for any profession.

At Flying Femme, we believe anyone can succeed, in their own way and that belief drives everything we do.

Can you share a moment when you almost gave up and what kept you going?

Honestly, I never gave up. There were moments of demotivation, yes many of them. But quitting was never an option.

What keeps me going is seeing my students win titles, grow, and become stars. Every year, when someone rises from Flying Femme and creates their own success story, it pushes me to work even harder and give even more to my students.

How do you balance being a model, actor, singer, and agency founder?

This has been the toughest part of my life. Balancing multiple roles while running an agency is extremely challenging.

But I believe I was born to be a model so I became one. I became an actor by producing my own songs. When no one sang for me, I sang my own songs and became a singer.

Running Flying Femme is my top priority. Sometimes I’m a stylist for my students, sometimes a designer, sometimes a mentor for them and for myself.

I love creating things on my own. Flying Femme is not just an agency, it is an extension of who I am.
