Between all the lights, cameras, and high-stakes dreams, John Campbell has found a unique way to blend two worlds that rarely overlap so naturally: entertainment and real estate. With a career that began out of personal necessity and evolved into a creative powerhouse, John is now one of Los Angeles’ most dynamic real estate agents, known for selling homes with the same flair he brings to the screen.

Originally from London, John’s journey into real estate started at just 21, when he purchased a home for his parents during a financial crisis. That experience sparked an understanding of real estate not just as shelter but as an asset, a way to create long-term stability and wealth. Over the years, as his acting career unfolded with its inevitable highs and lows, real estate became his anchor.

“As a working actor there are times when you are on a project and have money, then sometimes long spells with no action in between. So having some rental income was incredibly useful,” John recalls. “Eventually, I began working as a realtor between acting gigs and brought my passion for storytelling and production into the way I market homes.”

Where Storytelling Meets Selling

With a deep love for the creative process, John began incorporating high-production video content into his property listings. These weren’t your standard walkthroughs. They were cinematic experiences.

“We shoot crazy videos in all price points, be it $900,000 or $90 million. They all get the same treatment,” he says. “And believe me, we have listings in entry level as well as luxury.”

This unique approach is also adopted by his brokerage Revel Real Estate, which has garnered serious attention in the past. One of the standout moments was an $86 million sale on Carolwood Drive in Holmby Hills that was featured in The Wall Street Journal. John ensures each listing is given the star treatment, with drone footage, narrative scripts, and cinematic editing that highlights the home’s personality.

Acting Experience, Real Estate Results

John’s background as an actor has been a major asset in building his real estate brand. He connects naturally with clients from the entertainment world, understanding their lifestyles and expectations. Many of his early clients were producers and directors he had worked with on film sets.

“Many of my clients are also from the entertainment industry, so they really appreciate this narrative approach. We try to tell the story of the house from the perspective of who we think the potential buyer may be, so it appeals to them,” he explains.

His ability to present a property with emotion and flair doesn’t just appeal to Hollywood types. It resonates with everyday buyers, too. Whether it’s a family searching for their first home or an investor looking for a smart addition to their portfolio, John brings the same passion and storytelling to each interaction.

Influence Beyond the Listings

With a social media following of over 73,000 on Instagram, John has carved out a digital space that blends lifestyle, real estate, and community. This platform isn’t just about self-promotion, it’s a tool to inspire.

He recalls helping rapper Mozzy purchase multiple properties, including a studio and a rental investment. After posting a photo with Mozzy, a fan reached out the same day, inspired to start her own journey.

“One week later we opened escrow on a great fourplex for her on the Southside. It was her first purchase, and I personally held her hand all the way through it,” John shares.

That combination of influence and accessibility is rare, and it speaks of John’s grounded approach. Despite his success and celebrity connections, he remains committed to helping anyone serious about real estate, whether it’s a first-time buyer or a seasoned investor.

Adapting to Diverse Markets

John’s reach isn’t limited to Los Angeles. His team, The John Campbell Group, and brokerage, Revel Real Estate, have connections in various regions, including Miami and even Turks & Caicos. When it comes to deals outside his primary market, he collaborates closely with local agents while maintaining oversight.

“For deals in Miami, I refer them to one of our excellent Miami agents and then oversee things from here in LA,” he says. It’s all part of a wider strategy to deliver consistency, quality, and trust, no matter the location.

Balancing Acting and Real Estate

One of the more fascinating aspects of John’s career is how seamlessly he juggles his acting projects with his real estate business. He credits his well-oiled team for making this possible.

“My transaction coordinator, Shakara King, runs a tight back office allowing me to just focus on solving people’s problems and ensure an excellent service,” he says. “This also allows me to act when a project comes along knowing our clients are in safe hands.”

He often finds himself closing deals from film sets and embraces the crossover between both the worlds. Case in point: his recent appearance in Cardi B’s music video ‘Safe’ featuring Kehlani, which amassed over 13 million views in two weeks.

“Can’t say too much, but I’m helping some of the members of the production buy and sell homes right now!” he adds with a smile.

What’s Next?

John’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. He’s wrapping up the film Expense of Death and is developing an action comedy called Best of Enemies. On the real estate front, he’s listing a $7 million celebrity home in the Hollywood Hills, complete with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and sweeping panoramic views.

And then there are the discreet, off-market listings; exclusive homes for high-profile clients, like a $60 million Tuscan-style villa in Holmby Hills. These properties, while not on the public MLS, are handled with utmost confidentiality and care.

A Real Estate Star with Staying Power

John Campbell isn’t just riding a trend. He’s building a legacy rooted in storytelling, service, and strategic growth. His dual careers in acting and real estate inform one another, creating a distinctive brand that resonates across industries.

Whether he’s on set or on a site visit, John brings authenticity to everything he does. “I’m just as excited to help a first-time buyer find the right home as I am to shoot a new music video or close a high-stakes deal,” he says.

And in a city where reinvention is currency, John Campbell proves that staying true to your story might just be the most powerful move of all.
